The Tale of Captain Tendance Von Gorm Part 1

Dear reader,

I am writing these messages in hopes someone will know my story about my travels with the oddest man I've ever met, John Roger, who also is the seemly most fearless and jolly pirate I've seen; nothing seemed to faze him, even with a sword pointed at him, he'd just laugh with that loud laugh of joy of his. But, that's not who I'm here to talk about yet. I'm talking about my boyfriend, Sharon Vonce Parker.

Well, here's how it started. I was looking for some crew members to help me sail the seas in search of treasures and loot some poor ship that would cross The Strong Arms; the finest and strongest ship I could find. Well, my first recruit was oddly Captain John after I boarded his ship and ransacked it. He didn't give up without a fight, but I must admit, he seemed to enjoy it; even as I was about to slice his ear off, he just laughed merrily. Heh. I must admit that's why I like him and he can get drunk the quickest of any man I've seen and still be laughing his ass off.

Though I didn't think he would mind.... I didn't tell him and John's crew; or whats left of them 'cause the rest sailed away in the safety boats like the lil cowards they are, that I was a homosexual. I didn't think they would like a captain who was into men; especially the tall one who calls himself Sharp. Sharp seemed to hate me the moment we meet and I didn't understand why, but John said"He's just sore that someone was able to best him at fighting and he hasn't seen his girl in a longtime. He sails the seas with me so we can hopefully get rich. Even I tell him though that I just get lucky with these treasure hunts, and stick to capturing the ships. Besides, it's more fun then digging for hours.".

Hmm. I kinda understand. But I never had a real lover before, and every wince I tried would just try to betray me. Think they can double-cross me, Captain Tendance Von Gorm, do they? Well, I'll let your imagination figure out what I did to those betray me. Anyway, we went to this bar looking for crew members, when I saw this very pretty lass serving drinks and I thought that I should try and show that I was a tough straight man; though I didn't really feel comfortable doing it but I had to keep them and let them trust me. As she turned around I realized it was David, or Sarah Phem Nie as he's known in these parts.

He's been my eyes and ears in these bars for what feels like months now and his acting skills seem to fool even the soberest man or woman here. I don't know if I should tell the other's about him, though; they could try to betray me just like others have tried to. David must have noticed and understood what I was thinking and he whispered,"Hey, keep them around. You're gonna need them to run The Strong Arms and they need to trust you as well. Also, I been hearing rumors of a secret android being made a few miles from here in a--". *BAM* I looked around and sure enough there was John drinking his ass off.

I sighed, and as I watched John clinging all over Sharp trying to make him sing, I said to David,"What do you think of them, Sarah?", and he said in his very realistic woman voice so he wouldn't get caught,"I think you need a bigger crew, hun.",then I looked at him and said,"Where you suggest? You've got to have heard something.". He thought about it and I knew he had to have heard something but then suddenly I heard a fight happening and I saw Sharp trying to keep someone off of John and I ran to them to stop it.

I saw John clinging all over some guy while this other guy and Sharp are trying to pull him off. I went to them and try to get John outta of his drunken state; sometimes I think he's useless with how much drinking he does but I need him. I started shaking him so he would sober up and realize that he had just been robbed. Just as John realized his bag of gold and sword was missing, he ran after those two and I followed quickly and yelled at him,"I told you to stop drinking! Now look what happened!"then he replied as he ran ahead,"Captain, why don't you shut up and get my sword back?"and we did just that, but we had to fight those two for them.

Sharp is luckily the fastest of us and he cut them off before they got to their ship and we had them cornered. We all quickly pulled out our guns and the two guys aimed their guns at us; I hope they weren't planning to try and intimidate us with single shot flintlock pistols 'cause they don't look like very good shots, especially the tall one of them. I decided to call to them,"Speak, thieves! Why did you steal my crew member's gold?", then John replied sounding still a lil drunk,"Screw the gold. *hic* Give me back my sword!", then the tall one spoke,"Sir, we need this gold to survive.".

I gave him a stern stare and looked at Sharp with that fixed look of his and thinking I could use them if they are really good at being stealthy and stealing. I had better do it quickly or else Sharp would've killed them; he doesn't tolerate people messing with him or wasting his time. Wish I knew more about him besides what John had told me "cause his gun doesn't look like it a common gun I've seen. I then spoke,"Are either of good with reading maps?",then the shorter one cautiously replied,"I am. Why do you wanna know?" then I said"Join my crew and I won't kill you. My silent friend over there won't hesitate to kill you, so your answer better be quick and I hope your friend is good at cooking 'cause we'll need a chef on my ship.".

As I watch them whisper to each other and kept my gun at them; and after John fell to the floor still recovering, I walked to Sharp and begin to ask him questions. "So, what gun is that you got, Mr. Sharp?". He kept on staring with his square sliver gun at them and said,"None of your concern, Captain,", I then replied as lil surprised he could even speak; since he never said anything after I took their ship then I said,"It is my concern. As your captain, I have right to know who you are and where you get your spoils from. Now... ", and with my gun aimed at his head and started getting annoyed with his secrets, I asked,"...who are you?".

Sharp stared at me as if he was trying to tell me to back off, but I needed to know, then suddenly, the tall one tried to attack us, but Sharp quickly punched him and we aimed our guns at him, then the other one tried to get to him, but I quickly aimed my gun at him. "Well," said Sharp as he was ready to fire "What's your answer?" and the shorter one begged him not to kill his brother. I've had enough of this so I threatened the two to drop their guns or I was gonna blow their brains up. That must have finally got them to give up and give Sharp their guns, which he threw them into the water. They tried to run after them but I firmly pointed my gun at them and after a few seconds Sharp walked to John helping him to the StrongArms.

I put my gun away and offered my hand to them but they denied, and then I walked them to the ship but not before I tried to ask back for John's stuff then suddenly, the shorter one tried to attack me, but I easily dodged and quickly put a knife to his neck. "No!" the other one shouted"Don't kill my brother! We did as you asked! We'll join you, sir!" but then the short one shouted"No, Axel! We will not join these thieves and crooks!" to which I gave a lil chuckle and said,"Funny. You were the one stealing from my crew-member.".

I then pushed him in front of me and ordered Axel to do the same after they gave me back John's stuff and head to the ship and get ready to set sail. Later, found out they was brothers, Mavilazy and Axel Dreama and that they was fugitives, but I didn't tell Sharp or John; with the lil information I know of them I still can't trust them and could be cops undercover. As we were getting ready to set sail for another ship to attack, Mavilazy grabbed me and asked,"Hey! Why did he throw our guns into the waters? That cost us almost all the money we had and we coul--"suddenly, Sharp interrupted us and said"Because you had old, rusted and outdated weapons; completely inadequate to taking someone down in a fight. Also, with you're piss poor fighting or aiming skills; you'd both would've been instantly dead. So, get this straight: you learn to handle a weapon and fight better or I kill you. I don't care what the captain says. You both right now are dead weight.".

I glared at Sharp warning him to stop yelling at them and he stared at me for a second and went to his quarters where he does god knows what. He seems to be in there all the time and always has the door locked. John said he stopped paying attention to it after awhile, but then I asked,"How did you meet him, John? You never told me." but I noticed he was drinking again and taking the bottle from him I then demanded he tell me or I wouldn't buy or steal anymore for him,"Also we need the wine to keep us healthy at sea, dammit! It's a long trip to the next shore or ship!". John laughed after cleaning his mouth with his sleeve then begin his story. "Well, I told you why I became a pirate, right, Captain?" and I replied,"Yes, you have but tell them just so they know.".

"Oh."John laughed and began as Axel sat and Mavilazy rested against the wall,"Well, aye, I--",quickly I pointed my sword at him warning not to do the damn pirate accent again or else I'd cut his tongue then he laughed and continued in his normal voice"Well, not much to say really. Even since I was a kid I loved to fight and being a pirate seemed more fun then anything the "normal" kids was doing. So, I went ahead and started stealing and acting like a pirate. Now, as I got older my skills got better and better.",then Axel interrupted and asked,"What about your parents? What happened to them?" then I added,"Yeah, John. You never mention your family at all to me. You ashamed of them or something?",then Mavilazy jumped in,"Probably murdered them. That's what pirates do." then after hearing that John burst out laughing at him.

Don't see what's so funny, but I guess John knows Mavilazy is wrong about pirates; at least most pirates. If they had killed they'd probably wouldn't have much of a crew in the end; how do they think I got John and Sharp? John then took the bottle from me and went to his quarters laughing. Dammit! Almost got him to reveal anything about himself to me. Axel shrugged me and asked,"Is he always like this?" and I deeply sighed and said,"Yes. He never tells me anything about himself and neither does Sharp.". I looked at Sharp with an angry look and he walks up to the deck after staring at me for a few seconds.

I then sighed tiredly and asked,"Are you two gonna at least--"Suddenly, I heard a crash up on deck and as I was giving Axel and Mavilazy swords, I ran up but quickly turned to them and said,"Now prove to me you're worth a damn here as part of the crew. Also, if you try to betray me... Well, let's say... you won't like my special treatment.". After I said that they first looked at me a lil shocked then nodded and we went up.

The first thing I saw was some tall man yelling at John and wiggling his sword at him and from what I see John must be extra drunk right now 'cause that man seems to be missing him with every swing.  I yelled at the man demanding him to tell me who he was and why he was on my ship, and he said with a rough and demanding voice,"I am Captain Sirrus Warrick, and I'm taking over this ship!". Huh? I thought the fool was crazy to take us on alone when suddenly I heard fast footsteps behind me and I quickly dodged and... there he was.

I stared at him and he stared at me but quickly got on his back looking scared pointing his dagger at me. He... was beautiful... but then I remembered how many had looked beautiful to me and turned out to have ugly hearts, so I walked past him and pointed my sword at this Warrick guy and said,"Sir, do you realize you are outnumbered?". He looked at who I'm guessing is his lackey, and started commanding him to fight me, but with a very angry and serious look, I told the lackey to stand-down or else I would kill him, 'cause I knew the lackey would be no match for me let alone all four of us. I first yelled at John to wake up from his drunken haze and guard Warrick, then I went to the lackey and kneeled to him as he looked at me with fear.

I cautiously reached a hand to him and lightly touched his face, and stared at him for a few seconds still thinking of his beauty. He lightly took hold of my hand and asked,"Y-You're not gonna kill me?" and I said calmly but in a serious tone,"No. You have done nothing wrong and you don't look like the type to steal. Your "captain" on the other hand I would be happy to murder for trying to take my ship."but then as I was about to go to Warrick, the lacky pulled me and said,"NO! You can't! He's my only way to get home!"

I asked him to explain and he said that he's a doctor from a hospital that was overrun by Warrick's crew and is focusing them on working and stealing since he lost to John. John know's this guy? I looked at John and asked him to explain, but he just smiled and said he was just a rival but means nothing to him. Hmm. I made him a deal,"Look, lackey." then he said."My name is Doctor Sharon Vonce Parker.",then I gave him a serious look telling him to hush, then I continued,"Look, Vonce, I can help save your comrades, but there's a catch."and he looked at me worried and cautiously asked,"What is it?"then I said,"You're to become my permanent doctor on my ship."then I got up and said,"I'll give you time to think, until then I'm letting you stay on the ship, but You have until sundown to make your choice."

After I talked to Vonce, I walked to Warrick and punched his lights out and locked him in one of the extras rooms and tied his legs and feet together after stripping of his weapons and clothes with sag bags overs his hands. Ain't taking any chances with him since he knows John; could mean he's just as dangerous though John at times seems to be more naive then him, but then that's mostly when he's drunk. I looked at Vonce and reminded him of my offer and walked away walking down to my room, but not until I peeked over looking at Vonce and wondering if he'd be the one.

My one true love. I only thought of flashbacks, and not very pretty ones either, to which I started crying, so I quickly ran to my room so no one could see me. Why? Why must they all hurt me? All I want is someone to love me and sail the seas with me. I started thinking of all of them. All those assholes who lied and cheated me, and the heartless ones who claimed to have changed or... Suddenly, my door opened it was... Vonce! Shit! I tried to hide my tears, but he must have seen and asked,"Sir, why are you crying?", then I tried demanding him to leave, but he cautiously got closer and grabbed a hold of my hand.

He then asked again,"Tendance, why are you crying? Is there anything I can do?",then I sniffed and tried to change the subject,"Have you made you choice on my offer?"he said as he put his hand on my cheek and said,"Yes, I will be your doctor after you save my friends first, but first I must ask you again, Tendance. Why are you crying?". I had to give in and tell him but I first made sure the others weren't hearing and I told him my horrible life and it must've tugged at his heartstrings 'cause he seemed to be tearing up a lil. I don't need his pity! I have a ship to run.

He took hold of my hand and he said he was a homosexual too. I took my hand away from him and told him,"What? You think that just cause you tell me this, that I'm just gonna instantly fall in your arms? That I'm gonna get all lovey dovey just 'cause you tell me you're a homosexual? I may be gay, but I have no love for anyone. I've been hurt too much to trust anyone; not even my crewmembers. WHAT MAKES YOU ANY DIFFERENT!?". I couldn't help it. All the pain I felt over the years had built up inside of me and.... Vonce... Oh, Vonce.  

Vonce ran from my room in tears and Sharp came in and said,"Tendance, is everything ok? Is everything.. *SMACK*  Why the hell did you do that?! Wait. Is this Sharon gonna interfer... Hey!". I didn't hear him yelling at me; I could only think of Vonce and... No! It's stupid! I.... I.. want to love him, but it wouldn't... Suddenly, I heard crying at the front of the ship and when I went there I saw John and Vonc-- Shit! I ran to them worried he'd spill the beans on me, then when I got there they looked at me and Vonce looked at me then said,"John says you're not a homosexual. Is it true, Tendance?" then John said joyfully,"Of course he's a homosexual. Why else would you be attracted to him?"then I looked puzzled at him and asked,"Y-you knew I was a homosexual?"then John, with a sly smile said,"Nope, but I figured you were with how nervous you seemed to be with some of the woman we see at night. At first thought, it was just that you being a shy person, but a pirate can't be that shy after being around for that long.".

Damn it, John. You're maybe a drunk idiot but a clever one. Still, I'm worried that he wouldn't stay with me now, but he said,"Hey. So what? You're a homosexual. Why the hell should I care? You're the captain and a pirate. With pirates, gender and race mean nothing as long we get the treasure and the booze." then I crossed my arms and I asked,"What about Sharp and The Dreama Brothers? What will they say?" then John said,"Sharp. He doesn't care. He seems to have more troubling things on his mind and the brothers will just have to get used to it or else they go.".

Hmm. I thought about what John said for a bit and I guess he's right. I'm a pirate and I need a crew to help me sail the seas for treasure and ship to board. But then I thought about Vonce and after the way I treated him, I don't know if he'd still want be here let alone be my boyfriend. I was about to walk away then Vonce grabbed my hand and I looked at him, and he asked,"Can we start again, Tendance? I do want to love you and care for you. I also want to get to know you better and understand you."

I looked at Vonce and held him close;..his...love feels so real. Still, I worry about that Sharp guy and he could try to break us up and could try to stir up a mutiny, but then John doesn't seem like the type to turn against someone for much of anything, but then there're the brothers. I looked at Vonce and told him what I'm feeling and he thought for a few minutes and said,"Do you need Sharp? What purpose does he have to you?",and I thought about it and remember how skilled he is with weapons, but then so is John and I think he's better then Sharp, even though he's faster than us. Shit! I'll have to figure this all out after we rescue Vonce's friends.
